I’m very fortunate to have found Dr. Kevin Kern and Vein Specialists of Geneva. Dr. Kern is an excellent Vascular Surgeon and uses the most up-to-date methods in his practice. I know the because of my past experience with another doctor in this field who lacked Dr. Kern’s experience and expertise. Dr. Kern did a superb job on my legs, he is professional, kind, caring and easy to work with. He listens to your concerns and provides straight forward and easy to understand explanations of the procedure. It was worth the drive. Previously I had been to this location, but it was a Vein Clinics of America. They had closed and I knew I needed to go back for more vein treatments. I was unsure about where to go but then I received a call from the office of Vein Specialists of Geneva explaining that Dr. Kevin Kern had opened his own vein clinic at this same location. I looked up his references and decided to go in and give them a try. I am so glad I did! I am beyond thrilled not only with the results but the care I received from the doctor and the entire staff. Everyone is so friendly and comforting! I was a bit familiar with Dr. Kern’s suggested treatment plan because I had started the treatments a couple of years ago. The first step is you meet with the doctor and discuss options and then he schedules you for an ultrasound of your legs. You have to wait for a week or so for insurance approval and then you can get started with the treatment for you. I am sure the treatments vary quite a bit. I had two or three different types of procedures done and it was only slightly uncomfortable – not painful ever! Yes, you will bruise but bruises heal and they really did disappear quickly. My legs feel so much better already – less tightness and soreness especially in the calf area! And in terms of bedside manner of Dr. Kern, he is top-notch! He explains everything in detail and after each appointment he asks what questions you have and takes the time to answer each and every question. Also, he asks that if you have any questions or concerns after your treatments, you call him day or night. He gives everyone his cell phone number and does seem sincere that he wants you to call if you are concerned at all. The office staff he has is also fantastic – well trained and super nice! I would recommend this practice to anyone! A+ service!

Truly an outstanding practice and fantastic experience! I mean, wow…from the initial consultation where they spend over an hour with you to do a comprehensive exam/evaluation, to each session thereafter to do treatment, I left the office more than impressed. Dr Kern always made it a point to ensure I was comfortable, to explain what was happening, and to answer any questions I had. His staff is so welcoming and were lovely to chat with.
