MEET DR. KEVIN KERN
Board Certified Physician with Over 25 Years Experience
For over 25 years, Dr. Kern has been serving the western suburbs of Chicago. A well-respected, board-certified physician, Dr. Kern has performed thousands of minimally invasive, catheter-based, and ultrasound guided vascular procedures. He combines his procedural training in Emergency Medicine with specialized knowledge of vein disease, to offer patients best-in-class treatments that result in healthier legs. As an Emergency Medicine physician, Dr. Kern often was treating people with varicose veins, chronic venous insufficiency, venous stasis, leg ulcers, or cellulitis. Many of these patients suffered for many years and had a very poor quality of life, some had spent years improperly diagnosed or treated with now outdated methodologies such as vein stripping.
Dr. Kern founded Vein Specialists of Geneva to focus his attention solely on the care of patients with venous disorders. Dr. Kern is motivated everyday by improving the lives of patients with vein disease and training the next generation of venous disease specialists. He has a singular focus to care for patients suffering from chronic venous disorders like varicose veins, spider veins, venous ulceration, lower limb swelling and pain. He takes particular pride in treating patients who have had prior treatments from other specialists and are still symptomatic.
